When it comes to making important changes in your life, getting started can sometimes be the hardest part. Whether you want to improve a relationship, change a bad habit, overcome depression, resolve a troublesome conflict, or just find some peace at home or in your workplace, it seems easier when you have help.
Finding just the right kind of help for your journey is an important undertaking. I hope to help you with that important choice.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinically Certified Domestic Violence Counselor, and Court Approved Mediator. I've been helping people like you in East-Central Illinois since 1975, and although my background includes experience in many areas, including family counseling, substance abuse and other addictions, mental health and developmental disabilities, employee assistance, corrections, domestic violence, and sexual abuse and assault, I most enjoy, and therefore specialize in helping couples resolve their relationship problems.
I use a variety of methods, but generally operate from a strengths-based systemic perspective, focusing not only on individual problems, but on problems that may affect families, organizations, and communities, and on how these groups fit together and function.
I offer a mix of morning, afternoon, and early evening appointments at two separate locations, Savoy (Champaign County), and Monticello (Piatt County) for your convenience. I accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, and offer a sliding-fee scale for low-income families.
