Sometimes organizations can have many of the same problems experienced by families, including communication problems, conflict, and difficulties managing stress. Some of these can be managed effectively with the help of an outside consultant.

Mediation

Mediation is a form of conflict resolution, in which a neutral third party (mediator) meets with the conflicted parties, and assists them in negotiating a resolution to their conflict. Sometimes the mediator may also put their agreements in writing. Mediation may be conducted at one of my offices, or at your site.

Conflict Dynamics Profile (CDP-360)

The Conflict Dynamics Profile (CDP-360) is a professional development tool that helps individuals identify their constructive and destructive conflict behaviors, "hot button" issues that make them more likely to engage in destructive conflict, and the types of behaviors most likely to cause individual employees trouble in their particular workplace. The CDP-360 is designed specifically for use in the workplace, and it permits the employee to obtain input from their boss, three to five peers, and three to five direct reports, in addition to the employee's own evaluation. The results of the CDP-360 include a very rich Feedback Report and Professional Development Guide, which may be used in Conflict Coaching and personal and professional development.

Training

On-site training is generally customized to meet your needs, and may cover such topics as communication skills, stress management, or conflict resolution.
